As of July 1st Almac represents the US based firm Forté Technology in the Swedish market. Forté is specialised in moisture measuring in virgin pulp bales. Almac recently received an order from M-real Sverige AB, Husum Mill to modernize their winder RM6. The order consist in a rebuilding of the winder discharge cradle to improve the separation of the rolls in the sets. The job will be done during the mill shut down in october when the cradle will be brought to a partner workshop.

The Forté electrode is installed on your bale press so that an accurate % Air-Dry is determined for 100% of your production. The Forté software assigns bale serial numbers, unit numbers and lot numbers and can track the bales from each dryer to provide a sheet Profile and a Profile by Drop Position. Forté can also provide output to your marker and to your mill-wide information system in a variety of formats. Market pulp producers can earn additional profits. Almac has together with their principle Quattrotec Oy been awarded a contract for a new turret rewinder to Munksjö Paper’s creping line in Jönköping. The rewinder is a combined pope and slitter winder and will be commisioned early next year.

Almac has been awarded with another order from Smurfit Kappa Kraftliner in Piteå. This time it is a winder discharge system for the winder RM2 and the supplier is as before RCS in Switzerland.

Almac has together with the principles RCS and Latronix received an order for an automatic roll marking station from Smurfit Kappa in Piteå, Sweden. The station includes high precision measuring of roll diameter and width, weighing and marking with selfadhesive labels as well as ink jet bar code and text on roll circumference. It also includes a number of V-slat conveyors and other necessary roll handling and controls. The investment is a step in increased quality control at the mill. The order is turn key and installation will take place in september.
